Are You Still Laughing?..

Are you still  laughing…

Word of the Week

And the Lord said to Abraham “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, “Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?  Is anything too hard for the Lord?” Genesis 18 v 13-14

Laughing is good for the soul but when the laughing is unto unbelief, it can slow the start of your belief moment.  Sarah missed a moment because she laughed.  When she heard that she would have a child, she laughed.  Maybe Sarah had rehearsed this moment for many decades and how she would rejoice but the moment did not come.  She probably rehearsed a happy dance for this moment but she never danced.  See, when you are waiting for your Isaac to come, then you get the news, it means, “your belief moment begins instantly” its time for that happy dance, rejoicing and worship and thanksgiving to the Isaac Giver.  Sarah laughed and the Lord asked “is anything too hard for the Lord”?  Perhaps you have already been told the impossible would happen and your Isaac is near, and you are still laughing. Maybe its time to stop laughing and put on your dancing shoes and grab your bongos, tambourines and make a joyful sound.  Your laughing does not stop the gift of God but you will miss the moment.  It’s important to enjoy the ride from the first count until it is done.  Start thanking God for what He has told you will happen.  Rejoice and believe.  Start eating right, resting well, and sewing baby clothes for Isaac is on the way!  Has He not said it?  Is anything too difficult for your Lord?  Stop laughing and start shopping for a crib. It is your moment NOW.

Prayer

Father thank you for all the promises you have given me.  I believe you are more than able.  If you said it, you will do it.  Even though I do not see it now, I know you will.  Thank you for being mindful of me all the time.   Lead me to a place of hearing.  Thank you for the Holy Spirit that helps me to overcome obstacles.  Thank you that you are praying for me Jesus. Your mercies endure forever.  Amen.

Plan B

Plan B

Word of the Week

And Abraham said to God, “Oh that Ishmael might live before You!. Then God said :No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his descendants after him

Why do we work out a Plan B? Amongst many reasons, lack of faith or trust in the very Plan or the Plan giver. If you trusted and believed in the only Plan (A) God provides, you would not work out a Plan B option. The problem is not that you have planned a Plan B or C option but it’s the fact that you have subconsciously no faith in the plan itself. God does not give Plan A or B but just The Plan for your life. God had prepared His will in The Plan for Abraham, and this Plan by Sarah alone is called Isaac. However, Abraham later found out that Plan B, Ishmael was not God’s Plan. Abraham tries to convince God that his own Plan B of Ishmael should standoh that Ishmael might live before You.” Oh how we try to shove Plan B, “churchisize it”, ordain it, asking God to bless it. We can not shove Plan B before God because He is faithful to only His Word and His will has to be established! In the process, of convincing God, there are some casualties you cause along the way. God clearly tells Abraham that Ishmael is not his plan “but My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year”. What is your Ishmael to God’s plan? What is it that God says you should do? For some, its just to let it alone and pray and others maybe just to sit and wait. The other plan could just to get up and cross over. What ever He said, that’s the Plan. Is it time to abandon Plan B yet?

Prayer

Thank you God for the gift of Jesus!  When nothing could resolve this situation, you gave your very best to die for me.  Thank you for not giving up on us. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that helps me to overcome obstacles.  Thank you that you are praying for me Jesus. Your mercies endure forever.  Amen.

Jehovah Mckaddesh

Jehovah Mckaddesh – Jehovah Who Sanctifies Me

Word of the Week

“And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD who sanctify you.” Lev 20 v 8

For who can keep all his statutes? Not only keep but also do them!!! That blew my mind because for as long as you have a neighbor, a brother or a sister, even the Ten Commandments are grace. The beauty of our LORD is that He does not seek to destroy but wishes none to perish. There has to be a way or a better explanation to this truth. Another literal translation I found said “ I am the Lord who makes you Holy” or “Who sets you apart for my Use.” The word M’Kaddesh was used to refer to the various parts of the temple, which were sanctified or set apart for the worship of God. Now that was in the Old Testament. As the New Testament, as Paul seeks to explain in full, we are the Temple of God and to us He is Jehovah McKaddesh.

The deliverance and victory to this is that, He himself makes us holy; He separates us apart for His use. In other words, He sanctifies us. It is not a lonesome job, no, lest we give up before even trying. He has given you and me the Holy Spirit to help you along the way. You cannot make yourself holy, it removes the Work of the Holy Spirit in your life, and glory does not belong to you nor me but Him. The word of God says, “He alone is Holy”, yet He calls us to be holy like Him. Well since nothing is impossible with God, I think of metamorphosis. God wraps us in the realm of his own holiness until we are totally transformed into something we could not be but because of Him and his great grace and mercy, we are!!! Because He has set you apart for His use, I just wanted to encourage you go ahead, work for the Lord, you are worthy. It is neither you nor people that make you worthy but Him. Remember whenever you feel unworthy to be used by God, not fit for the calling, it is not you who makes yourself worthy it is Jehovah- McKaddesh. God our Holiness. The miracle is in the transformation that He provides and sets apart in you for His Purpose.

Father you are my strength and shield in whom I trust. Thank you for the renewed strength in you.! Thank you for the Holy Spirit that helps me to overcome obstacles.  Thank you that you are praying for me Jesus. Your mercies endure forever.  Amen.

Even So Series – FaithFull2

Even So, He Remains Faithful Series…

Word of the Week

“Then He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”

Faith~Full 2

We are called to have faith, faith in its fullness. Faith is not a religion like many would say “we have our faith” but faith is a spiritual routed in the word of God, that is a response to God’s word which moves God to act. He is faithful to His word. Faith in God must be from the heart and it cannot be intellectual. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10v10). Faith moves, and it pushes you to know in your heart before you see with your eyes. The bible says “we walk by faith not by sight” The woman with the issue of blood had been sick for 12 years. In that condition she was required (by law) to stay away from people let alone men, and stay in the house. Faith in her moved her to believe in the One who is faithful that He would heal her. Faith in God then is having this kind of hope, belief, confidence in God and in Christ in the Word that leads you to totally commit to Him as Savior (Healer, Cleanser, Justifier, Deliverer, Giver etc) and your LORD (Father, Master and your King). After exercising this kind of faith, this woman got out risking her life getting out of the house, touching his garment, and getting healed. She had purposed in her heart that she knew who He was and she knew who she was. Jesus did not heal her after He asked who touched me, she got her healing by exercising faith and thus Jesus says, “Daughter, your faith has healed you.”

I don’t know what you want to believe God for, but I know that He is able. Do not try to believe, but purpose in your heart and BELIEVE. Faith is also a place…a place of rest. He is faithful to His Word. We stand upon the Word of God in our prayer and faith that it is possible. Pray through, faith through; stand on the word of God knowing that He is your Lord and Savior. May God bless you this week as you stand upon the word of God. Go in peace! Amen.

Declaration

Father you are my strength and shield in whom I trust. Thank you for the Holy Spirit that helps me to overcome obstacles.  Help me with unbelief for you are faithful. Thank you that you are praying for me Jesus. Your mercies endure forever.  Amen.

Faith is a resting place, you decrease and He increases.

As a result

As a result…

Word of the Week

“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king’s delicacies….. ” Daniel 1v8a

Daniel was one of the young men captured by the Babylonians. Among the other captives he was handpicked for government service in the King’s palace. Part of the preparation to work in the Kings palace was to eat of the king’s delicacies. The guards and mentors were under strict instructions to make sure that rules were followed. Failure to do that both guard and captive could lose their life. It was then that Daniel was instructed to eat the kings delicacies. The bible says Daniel PURPOSED in his heart that he would not eat of the delicacies and not defile himself in the process. Two choices befell Daniel, 1: to eat the king’s delicacies and defile himself or 2: to purpose in his heart to eat vegetables and water and live! Daniel chose and purposed in his heart that he would NOT EAT the king’s delicacies. After ten days Daniel looked healthier. God rewarded him and his friends with knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom. The bible says Daniel had all understanding in dreams and visions as a result. (Dan 1 v 17).

What choices do you have to make today? Is your choice the one that will defile you and satisfy the earthly king or a choice that is not so common but leaves you undefiled? Situations can cause us to compromise who we are and what we stand for. 10 days did not seem so difficult for Daniel because he purposed in his heart. Are you ready to purpose in your heart? What is your purpose this morning? What is in your heart? Your answer maybe right in front of you but unfortunately, the journey to the answer cannot mix with the delicacies that you might choose. I pray that this morning you choose a path and a road that leads to Christ. A road that leaves you totally depended on Christ. A choice that leaves you having gained knowledge, understanding and wisdom from Him. More than likely the route to your solution may not be the likely favorable route. It may be a lonely road and a lonely path. It can be done as long as you purpose in your heart.
